Why is SPF important even in winter?
UVA radiation — responsible for photoaging — passes through clouds and window glass all year round, regardless of season or cloud cover. UVB (sunburn) is stronger in summer, but UVA is constant. Without daily UV protection, pigmentation, sun-induced wrinkles and collagen loss progress slowly but steadily — even with a sedentary office lifestyle.
Dermatologists and cosmetologists increasingly recommend SPF as a mandatory step in your morning skincare routine — regardless of season. Larens meets this approach with two products tailored to different exposure levels.
Larens Suncare Face Cream SPF20 — ingredients and how it works
SPF20 offers moderate protection — recommended for daily, limited sun exposure (commuting, short walks, office work). The Larens Suncare formula is designed as a protective-care cream with a lifting-revitalizing effect — setting it apart from ordinary sun creams that "only" block UV.
UVB filter — protection against sunburn
Absorbs UVB ultraviolet radiation, protecting skin from sunburn and photoaging. It also shows anti-inflammatory and soothing effects — reducing swelling after sun exposure.
Extending the spectrum to UVA + a strong antioxidant
Ferulic acid is an antioxidant stronger than vitamin C, which slows photoaging processes caused by UVA — radiation that Amiloxate alone doesn't absorb. It also helps reduce existing pigmentation and is soothing for vascular skin.
Active care during UV protection
Marine collagen peptides have a regenerating and anti-inflammatory effect — especially important after UV exposure, which generates inflammation in the skin. Liposomal HA forms a protective barrier on the epidermis and retains water, preventing the transdermal moisture loss intensified by the sun.
Regeneration and antioxidant protection
Centella asiatica soothes irritation and supports skin regeneration after sun exposure. Laminaria Saccharina (sugar kelp) is a marine algae — a strong antioxidant that firms the skin and nourishes it with marine minerals.
The formula contains no phenoxyethanol, PVP, parabens, microplastics or nylon, and no SLS. This list mirrors Larens Colour — WellU consistently removes these ingredients across its entire product line.
SPF20 vs SPF50 — which one to choose?
| Situation | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| Daily in the city, limited exposure | SPF 20 (Suncare) |
| Office work, a lot of time near a window | SPF 20 (Suncare) |
| Long walks, outdoor activity | SPF 50 (SunVera) |
| Beach, mountains, holidays | SPF 50 (SunVera) |
| Vascular skin, pigmentation | SPF 50 (SunVera) |
| Using retinoids or exfoliating acids | SPF 50 (SunVera) — essential |
| Skin after laser treatments or peels | SPF 50 (SunVera) — essential |
How to use Larens SPF cream in your skincare routine?
Apply Larens SPF cream as the last step of your morning routine — after your serum (e.g. Biopeptide Serum Spray) and before makeup. Apply it 20 minutes before going out into the sun, so the filters have time to bind with your skin and provide full protection. If you're in the sun for more than 2 hours, reapply.
An important note: SPF cream doesn't "undo" the effect of a peptide serum applied earlier — quite the opposite. Biopeptide Serum Spray as a base + SPF cream on top is a standard combination recommended by WellU in the morning Larens routine.
Cleanse → Biopeptide Serum Spray (wait 2–3 min) → Larens Suncare SPF20 or SunVera SPF50 → optionally Larens Colour Foundation. SPF cream works well as a makeup base, absorbs quickly without a greasy effect.
